Is hosting the Olympics worth it?: Pre-class activities

Instead of walking into a stadium, athletes from around the world will float into the City of Light down the River Seine.
It sounds like they have done a lot of stuff with the infrastructure that’s here.
That being said, experience tells us that the controversies before the opening ceremony are often forgotten after the opening ceremony as the Olympic party begins.
